Get to know me
When I was little a family friend introduced me to a story about different types of dinosaur families. My ten-year-old mind was blown to learn that families and love often come in many diverse forms.
Now as a soppy and optimistic adult, I have grown to appreciate how stories and rituals can improve our connections with each other. They can also help us pause and revere life and our relationships.
My interests and work outside of marrying people of a weekend include counselling, play therapy, dipping my toes in human-centred design, floristry and having the occasional boogie (despite hearsay I do not make it a mandatory part of the ceremony).
I don’t believe everyone should get married or even find a significant other. It’s not a measure of happiness or success. I am, however, (sometimes to the chagrin of myself and those around me) a hopeless romantic...
So if you have found yourselves in the position of having an amazing human in your life, you want to celebrate this love and invite your favourite people to witness the occasion, then I fully support you! I would also be chuffed to be your celebrant.
